We are seeking a skilled Oracle Database Administrator with at least five years of professional experience. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of Oracle databases. You will ensure database security, high availability, and efficient operations to meet the business requirements.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and upgrade Oracle databases across different environments (production, test, development).
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including backups, patching, and recovery.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization
- Monitor and improve database performance using tools such as AWR, ADDM, and SQL tuning.
- Analyze and resolve bottlenecks in query execution and system resource usage.
- Implement security measures like TDE (Transparent Data Encryption), Database Vault, and user roles.
- Ensure compliance with data security regulations and standards.
- Configure and manage Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters) and Data Guard for high availability.
- Develop and test disaster recovery plans, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Use tools like Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) to monitor database health and availability.
- Schedule and automate routine tasks to minimize manual intervention.
- Collaborate with developers to design and optimize database schemas, indexes, and queries.
- Provide guidance on PL/SQL coding best practices.
- Maintain detailed documentation for database configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Prepare performance and maintenance reports for management.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience as an Oracle DBA.
- Proven experience with Oracle 12c, 19c, or newer versions.
- Experience with cloud environments (e.g., Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure) is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and database programming.
- Expertise in Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, and OEM.
- Strong understanding of database security tools and techniques (e.g., TDE, Data Masking).
- Knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems and shell scripting.
Soft Skills

- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Certifications (Preferred)
- OCI associate Architect
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP).
